A growing utilities and manufacturing company in Howard County, Maryland seeks an experienced senior accountant
Responsibilities:
Monthly journal entry preparation and documentation
Statement review and preparation for management reporting
Balance Sheet account reconciliation
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
Prepare sales tax returns
Prepare sales commission reports
Identify problems, troubleshoot, and provide recommendations for improvements in accurately and efficiently measuring, recording, and reporting financial data
Special project work includes preparing audit schedules and explanations, commission calculations, US Department of Commerce reports, etc.
Assist with software implementations and automating manual processes

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Program Preferred
Minimum of three years in an office/ accounting setting
