Job Description:


Position Summary:


The GM, Mammotome will have total global accountability for the Mammotome BU, overseeing leadership in R&D, Product Management, and Global Marketing. This role is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Mammotome's sites, managing costs, and ensuring operational excellence. The leader will drive global decision-making and business development, including contract negotiations and supplier agreements.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Strategic Integration: Lead cross-functional teams across global marketing, product management, and R&D to ensure cohesive planning and execution, driving the effective management of product pipeline aligned with market demands and business objectives.


  • Portfolio Rationalization: Oversee the continuous assessment and optimization of the product portfolio, leveraging market insights and performance data to prioritize high-impact projects, maximize profitability, and achieve targeted ROI.


  • Site Accountability: Manage costs associated with Summit Woods and Blue Ash Warehouse, ensuring efficient operations and budget adherence.


  • Business Accountability: Oversee all aspects of the business (even where there are dotted line accountabilities) partnering with peers and stakeholders across operations, supply chain, and commercial organizations: to optimize:

    • On-Time Delivery (OTD)

    • Costs related to operations, manufacturing, and distribution (significant impact on P&L)

    • Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM) for instruments and consumables

    • Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE)

    • Global go-to-market strategies (design and execution of cost structure)




  • Strategic Partnership with Enabling Functions: Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to drive decision-making that aligns with Danaher's Core Value Drivers (CVDs), including:

    • Internal Fill Rate (IFR)

    • Retention

    • Operating Margin Expansion (OMX)

    • Cash Flow / Working Capital Turnover




  • Cultural Alignment: Champion a positive cultural shift by fostering an environment of transparency, collaboration, and innovation. Promote a culture that embraces change by recognizing and rewarding adaptive behaviors and innovation. Implement change management strategies to inspire and engage employees, aligning them with the company's vision and goals.


  • Leadership Team: Lead the Mammotome leadership team to drive global decision-making aligned with total global P&L accountability.


  • Business Development: Oversee business development activities related to organic growth, distribution, and equity investments. Lead all aspects of contract negotiations in partnership with key stakeholders such as head of legal and head of commercial.


  • Supplier Agreements: Negotiate key supplier agreements in collaboration with designated operations team members to ensure favorable terms and conditions.



Qualifications:



  • Strong background in R&D, Product Management, and Global Marketing.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage operational costs and drive efficiency.

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to drive global decision-making.

  • Experience in business development and contract negotiations.

  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier agreements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



Educational Experience and Background:



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences).

  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, Ph.D., MBA) preferred.

  • Previous experience in a similar role within diagnostic and medical device industry.

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or marketing roles

  • Proven experience in managing teams through product development and delivery
