RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Director of Data Management in Daytona Beach, FL.

Summary:
The Director will oversee the data management team, collaborate frequently with key enablers and users of item throughout the organization (e.g., IT, Business Unit representatives), and drive initiatives to improve that value of item data as a business asset. This position requires a commercially focused leader with strong expertise in data governance, transformation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Essential Functions:


  • Establish and uphold data governance frameworks, policies, and leading practices to ensure consistent data standards, compliance, and integrity across all systems

  • Refine and implement a forward-looking data roadmap for Item Master Data that aligns with Company's business objectives, driving transformation across the organization

  • Lead the end-to-end management of Item Master Data, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and reliability to support critical business functions and decision-making

  • Collaborate closely with IT, data stewards, and key business leaders to understand requirements of data within specific domains, solve pain points, and ensure data initiatives meet evolving business needs

  • Drive professional development within the data management team by setting clear goals, fostering continuous learning, and implementing best practices in data management to ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality results

  • Oversee the evaluation, selection, and ongoing optimization of data management tools and platforms to enhance data capabilities and operational efficiency

  • Develop and leverage reporting tools to track data quality, usage trends, and project milestones, ensuring actionable insights are available to stakeholders

  • Lead data remediation efforts by leveraging AI-driven tools for gap-filling, correcting, and fuzzy-matching data, ensuring data quality and consistency across systems







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Agile Delivery Skills and Experience - Advanced expertise in Agile methodologies (e.g., APM Agile, SAFe), with formal qualifications in Agile delivery practices to drive iterative and efficient project execution

  • Data Governance Expertise - Deep knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and compliance practices to ensure data integrity and security

  • Leadership and Team Development - Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of growth and accountability

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities - Exceptional analytical skills to identify trends, solve complex data issues, and translate insights into actionable strategies

  • Project and Change Management - Skilled in managing large-scale data transformation initiatives, with experience leading teams through change and promoting adoption of new tools and practices

  • Stakeholder Relationship Building - Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence decision-making, and drive alignment across the organization

  • Strategic Vision and Execution - Proven ability to develop and drive long-term data strategies that align with and support business objectives

  • Technical Proficiency - Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate or power user), Word, PowerPoint; Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP or Oracle) and data management tools; Familiar user of one or more data management tools (e.g. Oracle, Collibra, Informatica, Purview) and PMIs; Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus

  • Focus on Critical Path - Spends time on what's important; Eliminates roadblocks, creates focus

  • Customer Focus - Leverages a deep understanding of the needs of item data users (-customers-) to meet or exceed their expectations in how item data is deployed throughout the organization






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
