RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Okta Identity Governance Engineer/Consultant in Culver City, CA.

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) Specialist with expertise in Okta to lead our organization's identity management efforts. This role will focus on implementing, managing, and optimizing Okta's Identity Governance (IGA) solutions while ensuring seamless integration with access management processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the differences and overlaps between identity governance and access management, ensuring both compliance and efficient user lifecycle management.

The IGA Specialist will work closely with various teams, including security, IT, and compliance, to ensure that our identity management practices align with industry standards security requirements.

Responsibilities:


  • Implement and Maintain IGA Solutions: Design and implement Okta-based Identity Governance & Administration solutions, ensuring effective management of user identities, entitlements, and permissions

  • Access Management Integration: Collaborate with the access management team to ensure that identity governance solutions integrate with access management controls, including Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

  • User Lifecycle Management: Develop and manage processes for user onboarding, offboarding, and role-based access control using Okta's IGA capabilities

  • Identity Governance Policies: Define and enforce identity governance policies, including role management, certification, and access reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements

  • Audit and Compliance Support: Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and reports related to identity governance and access controls

  • Identity Risk Management: Assess identity-related risks and propose solutions to minimize security vulnerabilities







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3+ years of experience with Okta, including Okta Identity Governance (IGA) and Access Management solutions

  • Strong understanding of identity governance (e.g., identity lifecycle management, access certifications, role management) versus access management (e.g., SSO, MFA)

  • Proficiency in RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and access review processes

  • Experience with integrating Okta with other IGA tools and systems (e.g., HR systems, directory services, cloud platforms)

  • Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, GDPR) as they relate to identity governance and access management

  • Knowledge of API integrations and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to automate IGA workflows

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify security risks and propose effective solutions

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Okta Certified Professional or Okta Certified Administrator certification

  • Experience with Zero Trust frameworks and identity-centric security

  • Knowledge of other IGA tools (e.g., SailPoint, Saviynt) and how they complement Okta

  • Experience in managing cloud-based identity management (e.g., AWS, Azure AD)






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
