Are you our next Superintendent Process Engineering?

We are currently seeking a Superintendent Process Engineering for our Florida Mining operations that will lead and direct a high-performing team of engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation to support seamless operations and drive excellence in engineering initiatives. As the Superintendent Process Engineering, you will provide technical support to the operations group and are responsible for front-end engineering support of capital projects. You will serve as an active contributor to Mosaic cross-site and/or cross-functional assignments and initiatives. You will be frequently assigned to high-profile projects, support assignments, and initiatives. The successful candidate will assist our team in improving our unique industrial and mining process through process systems design and maintenance troubleshooting.

What will you do?


  • Champion the professional development of engineering team members through comprehensive training, mentoring and ongoing support, ensuring continuous growth and skill enhancement within the team.

  • Provide process engineering support to the operations group including the including pumping systems, plants and the Integrated Operations Center. The role will look for troubleshooting, efficiency improvement, problem solving, and problem prevention opportunities.

  • Responsible for leveraging ideas and assistance including resources across the mine and plant

  • Provide front-end engineering development of capital projects including planning, identifying business objectives, identifying, and evaluating viable options, preliminary design development, and preliminary economic and risk mitigation evaluation

  • Responsible for commissioning and start-up support for assigned projects

  • Support current business initiatives including specific problem-solving projects or improvement activities involving multiple sites

  • Ensure site safety and environmental standards are being followed through safety audits, risk assessments, and housekeeping tours

  • Vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect fellow workers

  • Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees


  • Provide work direction to the team as well as timely and constructive feedback to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles, business goals and performance standards

  • Manage performance issues when necessary

  • Develop and coach employees to retain and grow organizational talent

What do you need for this role?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required. Mining, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • 7+ years of related experience; related experience may consist of phosphates, fertilizer, sulfuric acid manufacturing industry, or chemical processing

  • Experience with MS Office products, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project/Primavera (or similar software)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of management

  • Must demonstrate ability to influence others; requires strong leadership qualities, teamwork and problem solving/decision making

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience leading a technical team

  • Experience with OIS, PI, Maximo, Minitab, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Slysel, Process Control Systems

  • Licensed Professional Engineer
