Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer that will collaborate across Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering and System Engineering teams to bring advanced Satellite Communication products to market. The Test Automation Engineer position is responsible for automating tests, developing device drivers, developing test tools and test scripts in support of product integration and verification testing of engineering designs prior to market release

Responsibilities:

• Develop test automation for satellite modems, RF equipment, Ethernet networking devices and systems.
• Ability to create test scripts and device drivers in multiple languages such as Python, Selenium, C and Java.
• Responsible for device drivers and tests scripts across multiple interfaces such as RESTful, HTTP/S, SNMP and SSH.
• Responsible for developing test automation to cover requirement verification, user interface functionality, System level performance and Stress testing.
• Responsible to modify and add new features to existing Test Automation framework written in Java with a SQL database.
• Ability to develop test tools such as Wireshark dissectors, Ethernet packet generators and parsers.
• Responsible for maintaining and updating RF, Bit Error Rate (BER), Packet Error Rate (PER) and waveform test automation with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and power meters.
• Supports Integration and Test, Design Verification and Production test.
• Reports, tracks and monitors product performance, capabilities, and defects.
• Provides technical reports and analysis to illustrate system's operating characteristics, defects, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations.
• Creation and setup of automated test stations and test fixtures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related work experience is required.
• Minimum 10 + years of experience with test automation frameworks, device drivers and test scripting.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in programming; Python, Java, and C/C++.
• Experience testing satellite or RF communications equipment and systems.
• Experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.
• Experience in Ethernet testing, Traffic Generators, wireshark captures and developing dissector tools.
• Experience is Government development programs in developing CDRL test plans, procedures and reports is a plus.
