Overview

Remote Position (OR/WA Only)

This is a remote position – incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only. There may be occasional situations that require work to be performed on-site at an assigned Legacy Health location. All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork. This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the remote schedule.

This goes beyond having good financial acumen; the financial analyst also must understand our clinical and data systems. The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing complex support to meet the financial and analytical needs of Legacy Health. This position uses advanced knowledge of financial, clinical and data systems, as well as PC technologies.

The Financial Analyst position has responsibility for extracting and analyzing data from available Legacy systems in response to clinical and management requests. Financial analyses and reports must be thoroughly documented, concisely written, and effectively communicated to the requesting party. In addition, the Financial Analyst provides budget support, facility variance analysis, and productivity analysis.



Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Masters Degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of four years work experience as an accountant, financial analyst and/or auditor or related area of responsibility. Prior healthcare experience highly desirable. Presentation experience at the senior management level required. Experience with relational databases, spreadsheet and word processing software, and query languages.

Skills:

Ability to perform comprehensive analytical tasks using appropriate computer tools.

Demonstrated judgment in prioritizing projects and reaching appropriate analytical conclusions.

Comprehensive knowledge of health care accounting systems and related support functions such as reimbursement, billing concepts, and health care operational and clinical practices.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in a large group environment.

Ability to manage multiple complex tasks.

Sound facilitation, consensus building and conflict resolution skills.
