Medtronic Pain Interventions business within the Neuromodulation operating unit is going through an exciting transformation, becoming more bold, innovative and is one of the fastest growing businesses in the company. Today, we have the broadest and most comprehensive portfolio of products, across multiple therapies such as pain management, balloon kyphoplasty, tumor & nerve ablation etc. that make a huge impact on the lives of patients globally.

The business has recently commercialized multiple cutting-edge technologies and is looking to continue the strong momentum. The business is looking for an experienced Sr. Product Manager - Pain Interventions Portfolio & Brand Marketing to build new capabilities that go beyond products and highlight the history and legacy that Medtronic has in this field. There are several areas such as patient support, physician education, clinical research, practice development, referral development etc. that our teams relentlessly contribute to everyday. The goal of this highly visible and impactful role would be to build campaigns, materials and tools that highlight the value Medtronic brings to our customers and hospital care teams. Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASCs) are the fastest growing segment in pain management in the US. This segment really values companies that can support and partner with them and success for this role would be to establish Medtronic Pain Interventions as a top partner of choice for this growing segment.

This individual will directly report to the Sr. Director of Global Downstream Marketing. This person will work with downstream marketing teams, market research teams, branding, PR and sales training teams to develop campaigns, marketing collateral and tools to establish Medtronic Pain Interventions as the partner of choice with our customers. Every day we work to unlock the answers for patients experiencing chronic, debilitating conditions. We do this by working closely with customers, our global partners and internally to bring solutions to life.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Brand Strategy Development:


  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive brand strategies that align with business goals and objectives for Pain Interventions

  • Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer insights to guide brand positioning and messaging.

Marketing Campaigns & Messaging:


  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create integrated marketing campaigns, promotional materials, tools and digital content that effectively communicate the value proposition of Medtronic's pain intervention products.

  • Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels, including online platforms, print, and in-person events.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:


  • Work closely with product managers, clinical teams, sales, market access and PR teams to ensure alignment in brand initiatives.

  • Partner with regulatory and legal teams to ensure all marketing materials are compliant with industry regulations and guidelines.

Customer Engagement & Insights:


  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders in the pain management community to gain insights and drive brand advocacy.

  • Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to inform brand strategy and product positioning.

Brand Performance & Analytics:


  • Monitor brand performance metrics such as market share, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction.

  • Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make data-driven recommendations to improve future efforts.

Sales Support & Training:


  • Provide support to the sales management team with branded materials and tools that establish Medtronic as the partner of choice to drive sales and adoption of pain intervention solutions.

  • Develop brand toolkits, sales presentations, and other resources to ensure consistent messaging during customer engagements.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of marketing, sales or technical experience in healthcare, medical device, pharma, CPG or agency/consulting industry, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have:


  • MBA or advanced degree

  • Strong global commercial marketing experience; preferably downstream in the medical device or healthcare industry

  • Exposure to global healthcare markets and the global economy

  • Experience leading market analysis and account segmentation and targeting activities

  • Experience developing and leading projects, programs, and/or cross-functional teams

  • Ability to quickly develop relationships and rapport with individuals at all levels and from all cultures

  • Experience working with and creating programs for a sales force

  • Strong relationship building experience with physicians, staff, field sales organization and distributors

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$128,800.00 - $193,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
