Project Overview:
Our client is leading the technical upgrade of their critical Financial and Procurement systems for a major branch of the Department of Defense (DoD), transitioning from SAP ECC to S4 HANA. The project focuses on a fit-to-standard approach, minimizing customizations and aligning with S4 HANA's standard configuration. Key efforts include defining requirements for the upgrade and supporting business process re-engineering.
Description:
We are looking for an experienced SAP Funds Management Consultant with expertise in End-to-End (E2E) Process Design. The consultant will play a critical role in aligning the client's financial processes with the S4 HANA standard for Funds Management.
Responsibilities include:
Establishing a framework for evaluating E2E Funds Management processes using a fit-to-standard approach to identify process changes required for alignment with S4 HANA's standard configuration.
Leveraging deep configuration skills to execute baseline configuration of the Funds Management module, ensuring alignment with client requirements and S4 HANA standards.
Collaborating with Governance, Organizational Change Management, Solutions Design, and Data teams to analyze alternatives with a focus on Funds Management.
Leading cross-functional teams to assess and optimize Funds Management processes, organized by E2E Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
Engaging in hands-on prototyping exercises to validate configurations and test potential solutions, ensuring that the system meets business process requirements.
Analyzing current Funds Management business processes and mapping them to S4 HANA standards. This includes conducting data analysis and user outreach to identify deviations from the standard configuration.
Documenting current state Funds Management processes, identifying gaps, and evaluating alternatives (e.g., customization versus adopting S4 HANA standard processes).
Developing key metrics specific to Funds Management that will be used in partnership with the Data team to establish baselines and continuously monitor performance throughout the migration.
Designing strategies for process modeling and data capture to drive fit-to-standard Funds Management process re-engineering.
Creating use cases and user stories specific to Funds Management processes to guide system requirements and process documentation.
Establishing a robust controls environment for Funds Management processes and providing financial statement audit expertise to ensure compliance and transparency.
Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Funds Management (FM) with deep configuration expertise.
Proven experience with S/4 HANA implementations, preferably within the federal government or A&D sectors.
9+ years of relevant SAP experience including 6 years of experience leading business systems modernization/sustainment and related projects.
Experience deploying functional and technical subject-matter expertise in a particular relevant field in support of State or Federal Government agencies or large, complex companies (greater than 1,000) employees.
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate technical field from an accredited institution. An additional (2) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Professional IT Certification - CISA (or similar) or Certification in one or more relevant SAP Modules.
Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Public Sector, or government regulated industry experience (i.e.: Aerospace & Defense) experience required. Army or Navy experience is preferred.
Interim or Active Secret Clearance Required.
