The International Financial Lines Facultative Team of Everest Reinsurance Company, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for an Underwriter to join our Miami, FL office.
Follow guidelines and implement departmental strategies to achieve budget, profitability goals and exposure management.
Marketing, sales calls, and client development. Manage broker relationships.
Collaborate with other departments, especially Claims, accounting among others.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or related fields.
Minimum 2-year experience in financial lines underwriting.
CPCU or other relevant industry courses are helpful.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
Basic understanding of the insurance and financial lines products.
Willingness to continue learning underwriting financial lines products.
Fluent in English and Spanish. Proficiency in Portuguese or other languages is a plus.
Needs to be very detail oriented, organized, and have ability to multi-task and balance priorities.
Good communication skills and collaborative spirit.
Comfortable taking initiative to achieve objectives and open to receiving feedback from colleagues and peers.
Opportunity for advancement so candidates should be interested in progressing into the position of financial lines facultative underwriter.
Must be comfortable working with computers and skilled at basic Microsoft suite programs: Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
