Essential Job Duties:

Follows safe work practices
Repairs machinery and equipment in accordance with previous established job plans.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses machinery and equipment.
Repairs machinery and equipment on an emergency or preventative basis.
Lubricates equipment and machinery.
Troubleshoots tools and systems including complex hydraulic systems.
Documents equipment historical data for the purpose of reliability analysis and planning necessary upgrades.
Provides handover to oncoming mechanic to ensure a seamless transition of work during shift changes.
Performs periodic inventory of spare parts for systems in area of responsibility to ensure minimal downtime.
Maintains order, cleanliness and housekeeping in areas of responsibility.
Works in the shop or in the field depending on work assignments or work location.
Actively participates in pre job safety meetings, weekly safety meetings and other required annual training.
Reports any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees.
Responsible for the safe and compliant storage/inspection/usage of tools and equipment as assigned.
Supports management with special projects/workflow process improvements and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Communicates clearly and concisely in a variety of communication settings and styles. Effectively tailors the message to the needs of the audience.
Establishes goals and objectives which are specific, measurable, achievable and relevant.
Lays out work in a well-planned and organized manner.
Must be skillful in rebuilding, inspecting and repairing equipment, including hydraulic, electrical and overhauling engines and transmissions.
