Job Description:

Job Summary: 

SCA is seeking experienced CDL A drivers with air brake endorsement. The Driver will operate a Broom Sweeper Truck or a Dump Truck/Follow Truck, providing prompt service to customers on scheduled routes, including new housing developments, local cities & road construction, etc. The Broom Truck will remove debris, including broken pavement, asphalt and concrete millings, mud and construction materials or highway debris build-up due to seasonal /weather changes and highway waste. The Follow Truck will tow an attenuator housing the arrow board, to help divert traffic around the Broom Sweeper.

Position Highlights:

  Location: 12524 Columbia Way, Downey, CA 90242


• 
  Days: Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays from November to January


• 
  Hours: 6 AM to 2:30 PM


• 
  Rate of Pay: $24 to $26 per hour, based on experience

Starting and ending shift location Carson, C.A.

WHAT WE DO?

Our power sweeping solutions include sweeping parking lots, streets, and highways as well as construction, industrial, and special event sites. Our fleet uses the latest mechanical broom sweepers and regenerative air vacuum trucks. In addition to being the leader in professional power sweeping, SCA also provides state-of-the-art jet-vac services where we can perform collection, system preventive maintenance cleaning, and identify infrastructure issues before they occur. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Drive Semi-Truck and Trailer (End Dump)


• Self-load End Dump using a front-end bucket loader


• Transporting debris within Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino County


• Tracking debris weight at each pickup location


• Scaling and logging debris before disposing


• Electronic Pre and Post trip Driver Vehicle Inspection Report


• No overnight layovers

Job Requirements:  

• CDL Class A license required


• Clean Driving record 


• DOT Medical Card 


• Requires work performed in outdoor environments/exposure to variable and adverse weather conditions. 


• Exposure to noise, vibrations, jarring, fumes grease oil & chemicals. 


• Active, physical work involving occasionally; lifting (50+ lbs.), carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching; walking, standing, and driving and operating equipment for extended periods of time. Requires focus adjustment, depth perception, clear close & distant vision. Use of ear, eye, and other safety equipment. 


• Requires regular use of hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
