In the Southern CA market, 800 patients per month seek patient care at the Whittier Care Center. This medical assistant (MA) position directly supports patient clinical outcomes for 250 of those patients by ensuring we sustain a 1:1 ratio of MA to clinician. The MA contributes to critical clinical operations KPIs, including HEDIS/Stars, patient engagement and patient experience (NPS). Without this backfill the Care Center will be unable to meet 2024 goals. Including chronic disease code capture (impacting revenue) and STARs/HEDIS measure capture (impacting clinical quality). This would also impact clinical and financial outcomes due to membership loss by not having the resource to support the local patient population appropriately.


This specific MA role provides coverage to a primary care provider name with a panel of 600 patients.
