The Maintenance Mechanic will be part of the team responsible for the maintenance, reliability, improvement, and upgrades of equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic will work closely with the production teams and other members of the maintenance team and shall be capable of covering maintenance issues on shift and/or days as a mechanic. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years mechanical experience in an industrial setting
Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
High School Diploma or equivalent

An Associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology, Certification in Machine Tool Technology, Certification in Industrial Maintenance, or Certification in Welding
Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
