About the Opportunity
This is a position within FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. located at the Reading Regional airport (KRDG). We are a FAR Part 91, ISBAO Stage III certified flight department operating turbine powered large cabin fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft.
The Helicopter Aircraft Maintenance Technician reports to the Manager of Flight Maintenance and will be responsible for scheduling and performing maintenance on company aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended maintenance program. The selected individual will be required to have knowledge of and work in compliance with FARs, company values and department policies.
Responsibilities include:
Working within FirstEnergy to maintain a culture with a focus on safety and customer service
Maximize aircraft Availability and Reliability by proactively planning, managing and performing scheduled and non-routine maintenance on company aircraft and ground service equipment
Create and manage return to service paperwork in hard copy and digital format
Ordering and receiving aircraft parts, process returns and related paperwork
Perform towing, fueling and marshalling aircraft
Launching and recovery of aircraft
Perform routine cleaning of aircraft, equipment and the facility
Qualifications include:
High school graduate or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred
Valid US Driver's License
Valid US Passport
Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License. IA preferred
Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Minimum 7 years of recent, relevant work experience required. Relevant work experience includes experience maintaining turbine engine rotor wing aircraft. Bell 429 helicopter experience preferred
Experience maintaining Garmin avionics preferred
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with people across the department
Experience with Veryon (formerly Flightdocs) preferred
Ability to work a rotating day, evening shift, weekends, holidays and after hours call outs
Ability to lift 70 pounds
Ability to work form ladders, scaffolding and man lifts
Ability to perform elevated work with fall protection
Ability to work in restricted or confined spaces
Must have a thorough knowledge of and ability to demonstrate industry safety practices
Available for occasional travel for offsite maintenance, managing projects, and training
