AEL is seeking a Laboratory Toxicology Supervisor for 1st shift. We are looking for an experienced laboratory professional who is detail oriented, process focused and can thrive in a fast-paced, patient focused and challenging environment.
The Toxicology Supervisor (Onsite) works closely with the Director toward oversight of the daily operation of the laboratory with an emphasis on quality assurance, operations, personnel assignments, leadership and interpretive skills to provided quality laboratory results.

In this role, you will:
Organizes and coordinates services provided, oversees operations, and manages staff and budget in accordance with laboratory's policies and procedures
Responsible for strategic development: develops staff to meet new and existing goals
Responsible for scheduling, training, time-keeping management and on-going evaluation of all staff reporting to them
Works on interdisciplinary teams and projects to further the overall goals of the organization
Performs all assays according to the laboratory's protocols and procedures, establishes validity test results, accurately transcribes, reviews and reports tests results, performs all necessary computer functions in order to manage tests data, verify test procedures, and establish the laboratory's performance criteria.
Analyzes laboratory findings to check the accuracy of the results.
Performs routine maintenance, calibration, and standardization on all instruments within an established time frame and keeps accurate and up to date records of such performance and quality control checks. Recognizes any malfunction of instruments and takes immediate corrective action to restore proper operation of the instrument(s).
All you need is:
Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology
Tennessee Supervisor's license
a minimum of 6 years of laboratory experience.
Previous supervisory experience in Toxicology preferred.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Certification or eligible by ASCP or equivalent
