This position is responsible for planning and execution of the Maintenance Training Program.
Coordinating and preparing training literature, manuals, systems, and leading class instruction on the fundamentals of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, refrigeration, and other job-related maintenance subjects.
Maintaining training aids, student records, and scheduling classes.
Performing maintenance orientation training for new maintenance team members.
Interfacing with appropriate vendors concerning training content and delivery.
Coordinating and leading safety training of the maintenance department.
Coordinating, administering, and assessing hands-on training requirements of maintenance personnel.
Performing other tasks as deemed appropriate by the Manager.
All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety, including personal safety and food safety.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years industrial maintenance experience. Must have successfully completed Level 8 in the Tyson Foods Maintenance Training Program or possess a minimum of 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience.
Computer Skills: Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of Tyson SAP-Plant Maintenance preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to successfully interface with all levels of the plant organization.
Certification: Certification in any applicable training topics or techniques is a plus.
Travel: 1-5 trips per year as the need arises.
Special Skills: Proven good safety and attendance record along with strong management skills.
Preference given to internal qualified candidates currently employed at this facility followed by candidates from other Tyson facilities then external candidates.
