We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper to join our finance team. You will assist with verify financial records and transactions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Process Accounts payable, post invoices, assist with checkruns
Accounts Receivable, Cash posting, invoices
Responsible for assisting with the general ledger
Maintain, reconcile, and report on the petty cash
Maintain an accurate and organized file system.
Prepare report data for the Executive Director to ensure timely compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
Provide clerical and administrative support to the Executive Director as requested.
Respond to questions and requests for information from grantors, reporting agencies
Other duties as assigned
Skills Required
Bachelor's or AA Degree in Accounting or Business administration a plus
Knowledge of nonprofit bookkeeping - 3- 5 years of experience
QuickBooks, Sage and Excel expertise
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand financial data, processes, and procedures
Perform job responsibilities in an efficient and timely fashion.
Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Accounting Software
A high degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
Bilingual Spanish a plus
