Assistant Bookkeeper - Miami


We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper to join our finance team. You will assist with verify financial records and transactions.



Duties and Responsibilities



  • Process Accounts payable, post invoices, assist with checkruns

  • Accounts Receivable, Cash posting, invoices

  • Responsible for assisting with the general ledger

  • Maintain, reconcile, and report on the petty cash

  • Maintain an accurate and organized file system.

  • Prepare report data for the Executive Director to ensure timely compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Executive Director as requested.

  • Respond to questions and requests for information from grantors, reporting agencies

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's or AA Degree in Accounting or Business administration a plus

  • Knowledge of nonprofit bookkeeping - 3- 5 years of experience

  • QuickBooks, Sage and Excel expertise

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to understand financial data, processes, and procedures

  • Perform job responsibilities in an efficient and timely fashion.

  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Accounting Software

  • A high degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and organization

  • Bilingual Spanish a plus
