Aretum is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Security Controls Assessor to enhance our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing in-depth security assessments of information systems, ensuring compliance with tailored security controls and regulatory requirements.

As part of a pioneering government contracting firm specializing in technology-enabled mission support services, you will contribute towards safeguarding critical infrastructures and sensitive government data. Aretum prides itself on delivering tailored solutions to its clients, enhancing operational effectiveness across various sectors including Cyber Security, Engineering Services, and IT Systems.

Requirements

• Independently perform all aspects of the security controls assessment in alignment with NIST 800-53 Revision 5.
• Ensure comprehensive understanding and application of ATO documentation requirements.
• Coordinate all aspects of testing with relevant stakeholders and team lead.
• Develop a security assessment plan with input from stakeholders.
• Conduct and lead assessment interviews and tests and manage evidence.
• Provide insightful recommendations to improve security posture.

Minimum Required Skills:

• Proficient understanding of NIST RMF, expertise in NIST 800-53 Rev 5.
• Minimum of 4 years leading assessments.
• Experience performing assessments at the USDA using CSAM.
• Strong communication and task management skills.
• Must have or be able to obtain Medium Risk Public Trust clearance.
• Must be US Citizen.

Preferred Skills:

• BS degree or 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
