Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY
Perform all aspects of the Asset Manager position in an efficient and professional manner, maximizing profits, while minimizing liabilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.
* Develop relationships with and knowledge of assigned suppliers' policies, procedures, contacts, and products; ensure effective open communication.
* Determine inventory requirements, including sales backlog, for assigned suppliers and product lines.
* Direct activities of Assistant Asset Managers and/or Buyers in support of procurement activities.
* Establish a positive and professional level of support with all internal customers, divisions, and suppliers to assure exceptional customer service.
* Review items to be returned on stock rotations and maintain sufficient inventory levels of stock items.
* Resolve all invoice discrepancies or receiving issues.
* Liaison with internal and vendor quality personnel to resolve related issues.
* Negotiate special returns whenever possible.
* Planning and overseeing Asset team members.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
* High School diploma, some college preferred but not required.
* Minimum of 2-4 year of purchasing/relevant experience.
* Knowledge of procurement software and tools.

* Must be able to report to assigned office location during scheduled in-office workdays.
* Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (paperwork, typing, using mouse/keyboard). The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.


WORKING CONDITIONS:
Position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)
