The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus is looking for a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders and/or injuries. This position will be assigned to the inpatient orthopedics setting.
Position Responsibilities:
Provides quality patient care, evaluation, assessment, and treatment appropriate for patients' needs.
Evaluates and instructs patients in appropriate treatment plans in order to achieve treatment goals.
Participates in divisional quality/process improvement activities and recommends opportunities for improvement in service quality.
Attends and participates in educational programs and provides educational experiences as assigned.
Demonstrates respect for all members of the University community in the course of performing one's duties and in response to administrators, supervisors, coworkers, and customers.

Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy is required.
Entry level experience in acute care hospital setting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Licenses/ Certification:
Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required.
Desirable Qualifications:
1-3 years experience as an Occupational Therapist
1-3 years experience in evaluation and treatment of patients in an inpatient orthopedics setting.
Ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated leadership in a work or academic setting.
