The Commercial Operations Specialist is responsible for delivering best in class tender/proposal submissions, including collating and leading both technical and commercial input from the Product Line, information from country stakeholders as well as the management of all clarification responses and contract management activities for assigned work package during the tender stage. They are fully responsible for all functional tender reviews (Legal, commercial, tax, credit, etc.) on SFDC and all required approval routings (Bid Bonds, Performance Bonds, SFDC GOA etc). The role will work with the proposal touch points in the areas assigned to manage the entire timeline for the creation of each assigned proposal and will collaborate with country representatives to create bespoke local content plans, taking into account any local tendering requirements. At the Contract stage, the Commercial Operations Specialist will also be responsible to commercially and administratively manage the contracts from Handover through to Execution and until Close out.

OPERATIONS
• Responsible for the creation of a timeline and regular status reporting to their functional line Manager/Supervisor and Geozone stakeholders.
• Assists in the review of contracts in accordance with company policy and procedure, preparing commercial qualifications and assisting with the negotiation of Contracts.
• Prepares Tenders, Proposals and Pre-qualification responses, including but not limited to the technical, commercial and contractual aspects of these documents.
• Partners with the Product Line and Commercial teams to develop best in class proposals which positively influence the long term competitive and financial position of Weatherford.
• Ensure all proposals are formatted and comply with company brand guidelines, customer requirements and follow internal quality guidelines.
• Understands the Geozone / Product Line strategy documents and supports the translation into actionable and winning propositions to the client.
• Identifies and as appropriate, routes any workload on specific ITT that does not fall within the Commercial Operations limits (technical response, pricing).
• Implements approved standardized content from the Commercial Operations libraries.
• Implements the Global Commercial Policy through commercial review of the ITT.
• Creates review/approval workflow and managing said workflow in the Xait Porter platform under the direction of the Commercial Operations Supervisor or Manager.
• Responsible for obtaining all required approval reviews and approval routings in CRM as part of the tender/proposal submission process.
• Updates CRM status throughout the lifecycle of the tender/contract phase.
• Clearly transcribes Weatherford's competitive advantages for the segment/PL throughout the tender/proposal document.
• Provides expert input to support negotiations including the attendance of customer negotiation meetings in conjunction with sales and product line.
• Requests a tender debrief (SFDC Win/Loss Analysis) from the Product Line and Account Managers following a tender Win/loss to ensure 'lessons learned' are carried on to future tender submissions.
• Conducts, leads and ensures clear contract handover process to the operations team, for their assigned area or work package and for all secured opportunities following contract award.
• Assists the opportunity team in the identification and mitigation of project risk.
• Responsible for obtaining all required approval reviews and approval routings in CRM as part of the contract execution process.
• Manages contracts until they are closed out - Escalation, Volume Discount, audit, performance bonds, liquidated damages, amendments, negotiations, local content, consumption, upsells, expiration and closing.
• Ensures the CRM is constantly updated as per contract details and status.
COMMUNICATION
• Manages assigned tenders/proposal and acts as point of contact with other functions (Legal, Finance, Tax, Operations, etc.) to enable effective communication, on-time responses, improved information flow to help shape winning and profitable bids.
• Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external, providing best in class engagement throughout the tendering and Contract process.
• Engages with line management regarding workload and areas of any commercial risk or issue that have been identified.
• Engages with fellow team members on daily work issues, lessons learned, risks and challenges.
FINANCIAL
• Actively contributes with ideas and suggestions to increase the tender/proposal win rate.
• Be financially responsible with their own expenses and oversee that of their reports.
• Costs incurred should be within the approved budget, processed within agreed time frames and following the relevant financial policy and procedure.
PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
• Develops basic understanding of the Bid Summary Analysis (BSA) tool and the main financial KPIs of Tenders and the ability to report against them.
• Responsible for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary functions, compliance and business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience.
• Engage on a regular basis with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potential.

Experience and Education
5+ years experience in a similar role, industry experience is preferred
Working knowledge of Salesforce is required
Bachelors degree is required
