Kforce has a client in Houston, TX seeking a Radiation Oncology Senior Application Analyst.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Support: Provide expert-level support for radiation oncology applications (such as Varian, Elekta, or other relevant software), addressing complex issues, troubleshooting errors, and ensuring minimal downtime
Configuration and Optimization: Manage, configure, and optimize radiation oncology software to meet clinical and operational requirements, tailoring applications to support department-specific workflows
System Integration: Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to integrate radiation oncology systems with other hospital information systems (EHR, PACS, etc.) and ensure seamless interoperability
Upgrade and Patch Management: Coordinate with vendors and IT teams to plan, test, and implement software upgrades, patches, and new releases, minimizing disruption to clinical services
Workflow Analysis and Improvement: Work closely with clinical teams to analyze workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and optimize system functionality to enhance patient care
Data Security and Compliance: Ensure applications comply with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements for data security and patient confidentiality
Training and Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including training materials, user guides, and technical documentation for end-users and support staff
Project Management: Lead or participate in radiation oncology application projects, including planning, timeline management, and execution, ensuring project goals are met on time and within budget
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Relevant clinical experience is a plus
5+ years of experience as an Application Analyst, with at least 2 years focused on radiation oncology or a related healthcare field
Experience working with radiation oncology software (e.g., Varian Aria/Eclipse, Elekta Mosaiq)
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in application configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting
Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, DICOM, etc.)
Basic scripting or SQL knowledge for data extraction and reporting
Experience with Windows Server environments and virtualized environments is a plus
Clinical Knowledge:
Understanding of radiation oncology workflows and clinical requirements
Ability to effectively bridge the gap between clinical teams and IT to deliver tailored solutions
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
