RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Financial Controller in Georgetown, TX.

Summary:
The Financial Controller will oversee and manage all accounting activities including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. This role requires an experienced professional with a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, cost management, and financial planning to support business growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the executive team, providing insights and recommendations to drive sustainable financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; Ensure timely and accurate financial data is available for decision-making

  • Lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and adjusting as necessary based on company performance

  • Oversee cost accounting, including tracking of production costs, inventory management, and variance analysis, to improve profitability and reduce waste

  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP and all regulatory requirements; Conduct regular audits to ensure financial integrity

  • Oversee cash flow management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and debt management; Monitor liquidity to meet short- and long-term financial obligations

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's overall growth goals; Provide financial insights for strategic initiatives including investments, expansions, and capital allocation

  • Mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability; Encourage professional growth and development within the team

  • Oversee and enhance financial systems, ensuring efficient and accurate data collection, processing, and reporting; Evaluate and implement new tools as necessary to support growth







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation and master's degree preferred

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a financial controller or similar role within the manufacturing sector

  • 3-5 years of experience within an ERP and financial reporting system; Experience specifically with SAP S/4 HANA preferred

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial reporting systems; High proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills are essential

  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to guide decision-making

  • Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated success in leading finance teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams; Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially in financial reporting and compliance

Physical Demand: The physical demands listed below are representative of the ability required:

  • Able to sit and/or stand for up to eight (8) hours per day

  • Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner

  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers

  • Close vision (sharp vision at 20 inches or less); Distance vision (sharp vision at 20 feet or more); Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)

  • Able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, climb steps/ladder on occasional basis






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
