Pay Range

$48,100.00-$66,100.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking an Industrial Maintenance Electrician (Mechanical bias) to join the Maintenance Team at our Tucson plant. The successful candidate will primarily work as a Maintenance Mechanic to support our Asset Care & Reliability strategy to minimize production downtime.

The Maintenance Department is responsible for maintaining and repairing our production machinery; performing and documenting inspections of safety systems; delivering capability projects, performing facilities maintenance and working to continually improve equipment up-time in line with our AC&R) philosophy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on CNC machinery, compressors, waterjets, rolls, shears, formers, lasers, electron-beam drilling machines, manual machine tools, shop equipment, plant utilities and electro-hydraulic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering staff to resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain
  • Identify faulty equipment through observation, predictive maintenance and testing techniques.
  • Source replacement parts, submit purchase requests and perform repairs.
  • Work with Department Lead to continually refine the preventative maintenance strategy.
  • Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime. Specifications.
  • Analyze failure trends and develop remedial actions.
  • Maintain electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading.

Other Duties

The successful candidate will also be required to complete safety inspections, utility work, infrastructure repairs, HVAC maintenance and to assist the rest of the team as directed by the Department Lead.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical maintenance preferred.
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC motors, control systems, and PLCs.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and on-call shifts as needed.

Competencies & Skills

  • Prioritize the safety of yourself and all JM employees - Essential.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, parts catalogues and manuals - Strong.
  • Competent with hand and power tools (Must provide own hand tools) - Essential.
  • Accurately complete maintenance records and documentation - Strong

  • Experience troubleshooting faults on FANUC/Mori-Seiki/Doosan/HAAS/Okuma or equivalent CNC equipment –– Essential.
  • Experience utilizing SAP or equivalent CMMS – Highly desirable.
  • Operation of Forklifts and Personal Lifts - Desirable
  • Crane maintenance - Desirable
  • HVAC system knowledge - Desirable
  • Facility maintenance experience - Desirable
  • Competent with Microsoft office applications – Highly Desirable
