Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Receives, sorts, and distributes a variety of cable, equipment, and other materials.
  • Compares incoming materials against invoices and/or purchase orders.
  • Communicates with team to rectify problems such as damages, shortages, or non-conformance to our specifications.
  • Maintains and updates warehouse inventory.
  • Analyzes shipping information to make routing and delivery decisions.
  • Calculates shipping costs.
  • Counts and reconciles inventory.
  • Assembles items, as necessary.
  • Delivers or routes materials to internal and external end users using hand-trucks, sorting bins, and/or company vehicles for deliveries to external sites.
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly.
  • Must be able to use pallet jacks, forklifts and other delivery equipment or vehicles.
  • Performs other tasks as required by the management team.

Competencies and Qualifications

  • Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills are required.
  • Must have ability to safely lift up to 70lbs without assistance.
  • Self-starter / self-motivator requiring minimal supervision.
  • Decisive and proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic including dependability and punctuality.
  • Decisive and proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Team player abilities are essential.


Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • College or Technical School a plus
  • 3-yrs experience in a warehouse setting a plus
