At CTEH, the Equipment Specialist assists the Equipment Manager to oversee equipment and resources in support of the Toxicological Emergency Response Program (TERP), Health & Safety Services, and Industrial Hygiene programs of the company. Using strong organizational and communication skills this role includes ensuring that all outbound resources are timely delivered to support field operations, ensures equipment and materials are returned, re-inventoried and are appropriately maintained and for future allocation. The Equipment Specialist is primarily responsible for ordering new equipment and supplies to support both internal and client needs. The Equipment Specialist may also act as field support on TERP mobilizations for emergency responses.
ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE
Assists Equipment Manager with oversight of the location's equipment room;
Ensures timely delivery of all equipment and supplies to field sites and ensures all logistics needs are identified and addressed
Receives and re-inventories equipment returned from the field;
Ensures equipment request from satellite offices are handled in a proper and timely manner;
Maintains asset tracking systems for his/her location and works continuously with the IT Department to maintain an effective tracking of supplies;
Maintains equipment and makes timely orders for Conoco Phillips and Phillips 66;
Maintains timely store estimates related to TERP projects for delivery to accounting and onsite project managers;
Maintains a clean and orderly equipment supply room daily;Ensures the proper maintenance, calibration, and repair of all field equipment and assets;
Oversees the replenishment of equipment and disposables;
Performs such other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (required)
Associate degree (preferred)
Military service/training (desirable)
Prior experience in logistics, inventory control, or a related field (preferred)
Advanced computer skills in a Windows-based platform (required)
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Current, unrestricted driver's license (required)
Able to drive non-commercial vehicles (required)
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within a matrix reporting structure
Strong organizational skills
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions
Proficient verbal and written communication skills in the English language
Completion of all job specific OSHA training
Ability to comply with all job specific OSHA requirements, including the wear of a respirator
