Overview

As the Manager, Revenue Growth Management (RGM) at Ajinomoto Foods North America, you will play a key role in leading category and channel-focused initiatives to drive revenue growth, maximize profitability, and achieve business objectives. You will be responsible for leading RGM analyses and cross-functional engagement with commercial teams to optimize demand shaping, sales forecasting, and trade spend decisions. This position requires a strong analytical and strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, with a passion for driving business results. The ideal candidate will have experience in revenue management or related fields, as well as the desire to grow and lead in a dynamic business environment.



Responsibilities

  • RGM Strategic Planning: Support the development of RGM strategies by analyzing current state performance, market dynamics, customer demand, and the competitive landscape to develop recommendations on growth and margin maximizing opportunities and risks.
  • Budget and Spend Allocation: Lead analyses for annual and ongoing planning and budget allocation activities, providing data-driven inputs to inform and shape channel and category budgets and identify opportunities to optimize.
  • Forecasting and Demand Shaping: Assist in executing the forecast review process to accurately identify performance variances, using data-driven insights to inform cross-functional demand shaping process and prioritize demand levers; provide insights to senior management.
  • Commercial Processes and Data Governance: Work directly with business partners (i.e., IT) to build RGM models and standardize commercial data, tools, and processes.
  • Pricing and Trade Optimization: Lead pricing and promotion optimization activities; implement pricing tests, elasticity analyses, and scenario modeling to measure the impact of pricing actions on customer behavior and profitability. Analyze historical promotional outcomes AND identify opportunities for revenue growth and margin improvement.
  • RGM Performance Monitoring: Maintain dashboards and aggregate reports monitoring the performance of RGM demand levers, including key trade and pricing metrics, sales trends, and profitability analysis, providing regular updates and insights to functional leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Identify opportunities for process improvement and revenue optimization, leveraging data analytics and insights to drive efficiency gains.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Conduct market analyses to identify white-space opportunities, trigger remedial moves, or flag potential risks. Monitor competitors’ pricing strategies, promotions, market positioning and share changes. Provide insights and recommendations to maintain Ajinomoto competitiveness in the market.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with commercial teams (Sales, Category Management, Strategic Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, and Strategy) to drive and implement revenue growth initiatives.
  • Project Management: Manage execution of revenue growth initiatives, ensuring timely execution and achievement of objectives.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience working in revenue management or related finance/commercial functions within the consumer, retail, or other consumer-facing industries.
  • RGM Knowledge: Understanding of core revenue growth management methodologies, strategies, tools, and data (e.g., Circana, Nielsen) across Trade, Promotions, Pricing, and Sales Forecasting.
  • Strategic Thinker: Hypothesis-based solutioning with the ability to construct and test hypotheses to develop “out-of-the-box” solutions. Ability to think creatively, adapting quickly to changing market dynamics and business priorities.
  • Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform complex analysis to quickly size and prioritize efforts to develop strategic, creative proposals focused on maximizing margin and performance outcomes.
  • Consensus Builder: Ability to collaborate and build consensus across diverse internal stakeholders, and influence decision-making across levels in the organization.
  • Effective Communicator: Strong interpersonal and executive communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to communicate function progress and catalyze leadership buy-in.
