Our client is seeking a seasoned Sr. Back End Developer to join their dynamic team. This role is integral to the Customer Relationship and Engagement and Technology (CRET) team, which focuses on creating innovative technical solutions to engage customers and maintain relationships through timely notifications about discounts and promotions.

As a Sr. Back End Developer, you will be part of a team responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions that will reach massive scale. You will contribute to the architecture and development of the digital platform and tools to support key e-commerce and cloud technology initiatives. Your creative and innovation-driven mindset will be crucial in articulating engineering design strategies related to scale, performance, security, and usability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement technical solutions
- Contribute to the architecture and development of the digital platform and tools
- Articulate engineering design strategies related to scale, performance, security, and usability
- Use modern web development and cloud tools/technologies

Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of Backend development experience in Java
- Experience with backend libraries/frameworks like Java/Groovy, Python, Spring, Spock, Gradle, etc.
- Solid technical communication skills with business partners and other engineer teams
- Experience using version control systems such as Git
- Experience with bug tracking software such as Jira
- Experience in test-driven development practices, pair programming, continuous integration and deployment practices
- Experience with analytical models and data-driven technical solutions
- Understanding and implementing different integration/security patterns
- Experience with relational and no-sql DBs like Postgres, Mongo, Cassandra, SQL Server
- Experience with development, deployment and maintaining Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google)
