Job Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the entire project life cycle, from concept through implementation and close out. The Project Engineering Manager is responsible for project deliverables, budgetary management and timeline adherence. Oversight of project engineers assigned to incumbent's area as well as local maintenance managers in assigned area with regard to project execution.
Job Duties:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
•Develop drawings, scopes of work, budgets and timelines as needed to prepare a project for submittal.
•Source, negotiate and acquire quotes for budgetary needs
•Manage project budget tracking
•Coordinate project review meetings to include setting them up, keeping meeting notes, and reporting out results to key stakeholders.
•Work cross-functionally to ensure projects meet the needs of all key stakeholders to include but not be limited to Quality, Food Safety, Planning, Operations, T & W and Maintenance.
•Manage purchase orders related to capital projects
•Assign and oversee projects that are delegated to either Project Engineers or Maintenance Managers to implement.
•Mentor and coach Project Engineers and Maintenance Managers in your respective area with regard to proper Project Management Practices and the sharing of best practices across the organization
•Communicate effectively up and down the organization.
•Travel to project sites on a regular basis to ensure adherence to budget, schedule and deliverables.
•Attend Factory Acceptance Tests as required to validate equipment purchases.
•Assist in the development of the annual capital budget for HFS.
•Provide weekly reporting of all projects under your control.
•Partner with SC Finance and Commercial Finance as needed to assist in business case development for all projects

Work Environment:
•Frequent Work in an office setting.
•Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.
Physical Requirements:
•Sitting at a work station for extended periods of time
•Stand, walk, climb stairs on a frequent basis
•Must be able to lift 50 pounds on an infrequent basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Engineering preferred.
•Experience in a manufacturing environment required preferably in a food environment.
•5-7 years or more of relevant business experience in an Engineering role knowledge of food industry a plus. Additional background in Project Management of projects in the range of $1-10MM.
•Proven results project management, Engineering design, budget management, timeline adherence, driving results through continuous improvement.
•Experience negotiating, preparing and administering vendor agreements and contracts
