  • 3+ years Outside Sales experience, door industry preferred
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • College experience preferred.

Responsibilities


  • Sells residential products to homeowners and builders at showroom or customer's place of business/residence.
  • Calls on purchasing agents and/or superintendents of existing and potential builders. Work with builder to reduce number of zero-dollar billable trips.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective residential/commercial customers to solicit orders.
  • Displays or demonstrates residential/commercial products, emphasizing selling features.
  • Quotes prices, credit terms and prepares sales contracts for residential/commercial orders obtained.
  • Maintains the quote log and other sales activity reporting as required
  • Reads builder and commercial blueprints/scopes of work in order to quote jobs.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
  • Assist in collecting monies due from customers who have exceeded their credit terms.
  • Performs on-site inspections of jobs scheduled (pre-site inspection) prior to the installation date, during work and follow-up.
  • Participate in trade and home shows.
