Description:
Fixed Asset Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries related to fixed assets, record depreciation, and manage the transfer and disposal of fixed assets.
- Perform monthly reconciliations, including comparing the fixed asset subsidiary ledger and construction in progress to the general ledger.
- Handle the month-end closing process for fixed assets.
- Generate monthly Capex spend reports and maintain PPE roll-forward schedules.
- Create and manage asset audit schedules.
- Assist in tracking and reconciling capital projects.
- Collaborate with plant teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of capital projects.
- Prepare audit schedules related to fixed assets and support quarterly reviews and audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
- Experience with SAP is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with management.
- Effective organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of US GAAP
