Description: Our client is currently seeking a IT Technical Risk Advisor
Responsibilities
Operational Risk Expertise: Provide expert advice and support on operational risk to various divisions or areas.
Risk Guidance and Oversight: Deliver effective risk guidance, oversight, and assurance services to both enterprise and divisional partners.
Risk Framework Development: Develop and maintain divisional risk frameworks to support risk identification and mitigation.
Technical Risk Advice: Offer expert-level technical risk advice and direction for new and existing technologies and tools.
IT Risk Management: Provide risk guidance, oversight, and assurance services based on Vanguard's operational and strategic risk framework.
Project Risk Advice: Offer expert IT technical risk advice for critical software, middleware, or hardware projects across multiple platforms.
Efficiency and Effectiveness: Manage the efficiency and effectiveness of technical risk management within the business.
Goal Setting and Improvement: Set measurable goals, raise standards, and improve overall technical risk management efforts.
Progress Monitoring: Monitor progress and measure departmental success in identifying and managing risk exposure.
Thought Leadership: Provide technical risk and architecture thought leadership and expertise.
Strategy Development: Lead and assist in the development, implementation, and management of short- and long-term technical risk management strategies.
Risk Mitigation: Work with the business to mitigate risks and optimize process efficiency.
Control Design: Use IT industry best practices to design effective controls and recommend new technical risk management strategies.
Consultation and Support: Provide consultation, facilitation, and analytical support to divisional management for new products, services, processes, and procedures.
Solution Identification: Identify potential solutions and recommend development options.
Client Relationships: Develop strong relationships with enterprise and divisional clients to understand their ongoing risk needs.
Influence and Persuasion: Build credibility as a thought partner and effectively persuade and influence others.
Control Assessment: Assess the design of existing controls and make recommendations for improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and advise on opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards, methodologies, and technologies.
Special Projects: Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
IT Risk Management: Expertise in IT risk management and IT frameworks, including AI and cloud certifications.
Project Management: Experience managing large projects.
IT General Controls: Knowledge of IT general controls.
Dashboard Metrics: Proficiency in dashboard metrics.
