Description: Job Title: Information Security Engineer (Contingent)

Job Description: As an Information Security Engineer in this contingent role, you will:
Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Information Security Engineering.
Review and analyze multifaceted, large-scale, or long-term Information Security Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
Contribute to resolving complex situations requiring a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years of technology management experience (managing software upgrades, ensuring availability, etc.)
5+ years of application security experience
5+ years of software development or scripting experience
Experience with Agile and CI/CD technologies such as Jira, Kubernetes, Jenkins, etc.
Knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly GCP/Azure.
Experience integrating application security tools into Enterprise vulnerability management systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
Thorough understanding of secure application design principles, including authentication, authorization/least privilege, logging, encryption, data masking, data retention, and secure data transmission.
Assist in developing and managing security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
Design, document, plan, coordinate, and implement complex solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Leadership and management experience.
Solid understanding of Agile and Modern Engineering practices.
Solid understanding of vulnerability management tools (Threadfix/ServiceNow AVR, Brinqa, or similar technologies).
Emotionally intelligent, engaged, responsible, organized, self-disciplined, and self-motivated.
Strong attention to detail and dedication to growing capabilities in engineers.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to identify and use empirical data to identify areas of improvement.
Strong communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Advanced influencing and relationship management skills.
Understanding of how to operate in a product organization.
