POSITION SUMMARY:
The 3R Service Technician will Service, Maintain and Repair 3R Machinery, as well as Shredding Systems and associated equipment at customer locations as scheduled by the Aftermarket Product Specialist or designate.
The 3R Service Technician, as required, will develop existing clients and help solicit new clients in his/her assigned region or area in support of their manager.
The 3R Service Technician is required to complete all necessary documentation supporting the service visit and submit a copy of the Service Report to the customer and his reporting office.
The 3R Service Tech will also report any and all timesheets and expense sheets to his manager in a timely manner.
The 3R Service Technician is responsible for all tools and equipment assigned to them such as but not limited to: Service Vehicle, Service Tools, Stock, Laptop Computer, Cell Phone and Supporting Office Supplies as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Equipment installation, startup and training at customer locations.
Work to acceptable service standards.
Adhere to ISO 9000 based quality procedures and work instructions.
Write technical service reports.
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Maintain accurate timesheet and expense records and submit to Manger as required.
3R/MDS/Industrial assembly work as required.
Regular Maintenance on Service Vehicle.
Responsible for maintenance parts stock level and accuracy.
Responsible for tools on service vehicle.
Responsible for all other tools to support his/her Service Work such as cell phones, laptop computers.
Technical communication, troubleshooting with Dealers, Customers, and 3R Territory Managers
Specific Skill, Ability and knowledge:
Working knowledge with blueprints, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics;
Welding and rigging of heavy equipment.
Familiar with the use of measuring tools and safe operation of hand tools including grinders, drills, mechanical saws, sanders, buffers etc.
Capable to fit and assemble mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
Capable of receiving job specific training and train new employees.
Follow and adhere to Shred-Tech's quality systems procedures and work instructions.
Know, understand and follow safe working and material handling practices.
Other Requirements:
Must be willing to travel extensively and carry cell phone as on call Service Technician.
Must hold a valid driver's license. DZ license an asset.
Must hold or be able to obtain a Passport.
Must be able to travel as required.
