Senior Underwriting Assistant Property (3+ years experience)

Golden Bear Insurance Company is looking for a senior-level underwriting assistant for our Scottsdale, AZ office. The right candidate will have both solid experience in the E & S property space, but also be a self-starter, self-motivated, and possess a sense of urgency and attention to detail. This person will sit in Scottsdale, as an extension of our Home Office Property team.

Primary expectations:
Prioritize service: the service standard is to issue policies within 5 business days of binding; issue endorsements within 3 business days of receipt; and respond to all other service requests within 2 business days. The Senior Underwriting Assistant will also train, develop, and assist with supervision of the other members of the support staffEmbody flexibility and adaptability: be open to discussion, seek creative solutions, find a way to yes when possibleWork collaboratively: no team member is an island. Support your teammates, collaborate and communicate with the underwriters, management, and the other members of the underwriting support staffJoin the conversation: attend and participate in meetings. Bring suggestions, provide objective feedback, share market intelligence and broker comments

Environment: in the office a minimum of 4 days each week. 1 work from home day per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday; to be scheduled with Management and subject to change based on the business needs). Occasional travel10% for educational events and Home Office visits.
