The Senior Implementation Consultant is responsible for supporting the implementation and trainings for Anthology's Payroll Software for Higher Education Institutions. This includes participation in the business requirements review, configuring software, training end users on the software and writing functional documentation for delivery to the customer . The Senior Implementation Consultant will support the other Consultants and/or Senior Manager in the definition and design of the customers' solution.

This role r eports directly to a Senior Manager for administrative, coaching, and mentoring activities. For customer project work, the consultant will report to the project leadership (Project Manager, Senior Manager or Solution Architect) .

Primary responsibilities will include:


  • Lead ing the implementation team through the full cycle of the implementation including business process requirements validation, configuration of the Payroll application, key user training, user acceptance testing and Go-Live support

  • Collaborat ing with stakeholders throughout the customer's organization to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements is gathered, that those requirements align to business objectives, while gaining full understanding of current business processes

  • As requested, conduct ing project reviews to ensure compliance with project goals and operability of solution. Manag ing the quality of the deliverables throughout the project life cycle

  • Provid ing in-depth knowledge of the Payroll application and evaluat ing the customer's business processes against the standard Payroll functionality

  • Follow ing the use of the prescribed Anthology implementation methodology, understand ing the key activities and deliverables for the customer's engagement

  • Driv ing continuous process improvement in the implementation methodology and best practices

  • Owning customer service escalations and transition to Support t eam

  • Promot ing a culture of high performance and provid ing ideas and solutions as well as training opportunities for self and team to Senior Manager

  • This role requires approximately 25% travel including possible travel on weekends or holidays

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:


  • 5-8 years of professional experience

  • At least 3 years of e xperience with p ayroll processes including but not limited to : Compensation, Benefits, Leave and Absence, Recruiting, Skill Management, Performance Management, Learning and Development, Payroll Processing

  • At least 3 years working with project teams in software installation, configuration, customization, or implementation

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies to explain all Anthology products and services

  • Software troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proven effective listening skills required

  • Demonstrated ability to work in team and matrixed environment

  • Clear, effective communication skills

  • Ability to work additional hours at customer sites as requested

  • Ability to participate in after-hours meetings with management as needed

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Preferred skills/qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management Accounting , Finance, MIS or related field

  • Higher Education or Public Sector experience

Pay range is $82,400 - $120,000/year depending upon experience. We use national and industry-specific survey data to assist in determining compensation. Additionally, we consider factors such as external market rate, budget for the role, and the compensation rates of current employees performing the same function. Some roles will have variable pay.
