JOB TITLE: Stakeholder Engagement Specialist I FLSA STATUS: Exempt (Salary)

SUMMARY:

As a member of the Stakeholder Engagement team, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager and other senior-level Stakeholder Engagement Specialists on the development and execution of engagement scopes of work associated with utility infrastructure projects, including but not limited to electric transmission and substation. This position involves the preparation of engagement risk assessments and, in response, supporting the development of key messages and communication plans for those projects. You will have the opportunity to assist in all stakeholder’s public engagement functions, such as participating in project site visits for active construction projects, attending public meetings, and preparing collateral for public communications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under minimal supervision, the incumbent will provide:





























 Support the creation of public engagement scope documents and processes throughout the projects. 



 Assist in the creation and review of estimates to include public engagement costs, schedules, collateral, and additional items as needed. 



 Facilitate project site visits, public meetings, and other engagement meetings/events related to the projects.



 Engage with the public proactively, devise communication plans, and contribute to the task execution for the success of assigned infrastructure projects.



 Implement approved media communications with the client.



 Proactively collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external) to meet project goals.



 Appropriately manage high-stress public interactions.



 Perform other dutiesas assigned by management.

Influences decisions of moderate nature requiring high degree of tact.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Required A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or University in communications, journalism, public relations, public administration, or other related field of study and experience equivalent to 0-3 years of public engagement.

Experience

Preferred 0-1 Year(s) Experience in the electric utility industry and/or experience with large infrastructure improvement projects.
