The Individual Life Insurance Product Design and Innovation organization is seeking a Business Capability Manager to join our Product Strategy Team.  This role, reporting to the Director of Product Strategy and Business Capabilities, is focused on ensuring Prudential’s holistic business experience is ready for new Life Insurance Solutions. It requires excellent communication abilities to convey complex product needs and ensure product initiatives are successfully launched across Prudential’s capabilities (ecosystems and processes). In this role you will need to partner with Prudential’s business operational and its software development teams to ensure product impacts are identified. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring that any business needs get appropriately accounted for and implemented as part of the Product launch.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:


  • Leads engagement with cross functional groups to understand their capabilities and identify their unique needs, impacts, and requirements resulting from a Product Initiative.


  • Understands and conveys complex information and can simplify, as required, concepts so that they can be implemented across Prudential’s ecosystem and client experiences.


  • Translates the needs of each operational capability to both requirement and agile software development teams so identified areas of impact can be addressed.


  • Routinely connects into development teams to ensure any product or business needs are clearly understood throughout the end-to-end experience.


  • Partners with a Program Manager so that deliverables are appropriately tracked for implementation as part of bringing the product initiative to market.


  • Responsible for analyzing operational processes, applications, forms, and correspondence to ensure they are appropriately updated for new product features.


  • Leverages partnership with Product Manager to ensure experience implemented achieves the overall strategic vision and goals of an initiative.


  • Creates lean documentation that includes mock-ups and design examples as needed for teams to increase their understanding of both the product needs and the desired experience.

  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high pressure work environment to meet project deadlines.


It’d be a plus if you had:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred in information technology or comparable work experience.


  • 3 or more years of life insurance experience with a solid understanding of financial services - preferred.


  • 5 or more years of experience of business capability analysis is preferred, with experience on implementing enterprise cross functional initiatives.

The salary range for this role is from $115,800.00 to $172,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
