The Senior Director, Engineering & Strategy will report directly to the IT leader of Line of Business, and work closely with IT leaders, business leaders, enterprise strategy leaders, global and divisional IT leaders. The primary objective will be to ensure the maturity of divisional and other domain strategies in delivering exceptional technology solutions and maturing the organizational capabilities.
The Senior Director, Engineering & Strategywill be responsible for:
Strategic oversight and delivery of enterprise application and system solutions for client group, business unit or corporate department and utilizing various technology platforms.
Directing multiple work functions or major projects/programs with broad scope and strategic business impact.
IT strategic planning, analysis, execution of IT functional plans, business value analysis, creation of executive level communications to ensure growth and performance aligns with the organization's strategic intent, business strategy and direction.
Partnership with other peer leaders from Business, Technology, Data, IT Architecture and Digital areas to support and further the maturity of business capability and value streams.
This role has a significant impact on Business and Tech strategies to ensure the team is working as one integrated organization and assists to integrate the efforts across all functional areas of the business.

Plan, direct, and control multiple teams of resources and initiatives to accomplish the objectives and requirements defined by senior technology and product management across multiple teams.
Work closely with Business and Technology strategy leaders to ensure the IT organization with various practices is enabling and creating effective technology strategies and proactive engagement towards effective execution.
Bring new ideas and opportunities to the table to improve business and IT outcomes, help automate the operations and add value to the overall IT and business functions.
Provide leadership and guidance that will make the difference for your team and the business function you service.
Develop and execute IT strategies for the business unit that align with the business unit priorities and those of IT.
Partner with senior leaders and executive leadership to create sound multiyear plan with clear planning assumptions and accurate financial insights for the IT function.
Responsible for governance and metrics definition and measurement of department maturity and impact on organizational goals.
Lead the skills and talent development activities and reporting on talent development plans towards an effective organization.
Support the Hiring and engagement of the team towards a high performing team.
Be the point person leader for the systems supporting your business partners.
Responsible for the planning and execution of efforts and goals and the ability to manage to budgetary constraints.
Interface with key technology solution vendors; develop strategies and facilitate performance measurement plans to optimize vendor and associate performance and outcomes.
Develop application technology plans, forecasting for an enterprise application, enterprise-wide tool, infrastructure, or a center or domain that is equivalent in scope and complexity.
Manage a domain or suite of applications (or the equivalent capital and/or level of responsibility).
Oversee strategic planning, budget development, and management for a single large or multiple cost centers, contract compliance, and any necessary integration of government regulatory requirements.
Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plan are implemented, monitored, and updated on a recurring basis.
Ensure delivery and support system solutions that support the continuous operations.
Identify and resolve hurdles for assigned areas/groups according to established deadlines.
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with key business partners.
Partner with customers to understand new product enhancements or features being requested.
Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of direct reports.
Plan and execute annual projects while maintaining profit and loss (P&L) responsibility.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 8 years of IT management experience in the area of function being managed; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
