Job Description:

Location: Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and in-office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. This includes remote work and 1-2 days in office per week. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.


The Financial Consultant is responsible for reviewing and preparing interpretation of historical financial data, financial projections, and results. Performs consulting services to support business development studies, economic evaluation, and planning functions.



How You Will Make an Impact



Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:


  • Identifies complex financial problems or issues, researches solutions, and implements corrective steps to achieve higher level of efficiency.


  • Advises management of various financial models and recommendations.


  • Prepares financial planning, rolling forecast, identifies and prepares monthly journal entries and creation and presentation of monthly budget variance reports.


  • Trains and reviews the work of lower level Financial Analysts.





Minimum Requirements:



Requires a BA/BS in accounting or finance and a minimum of 3 years experience in general accounting, finance, or budget and planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.



Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:



  • MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.


  • Experience with Hyperion Smartview and Peoplesoft GL preferred.


  • Experience with cost allocations is preferred


  • Prior experience supporting an Information Technology organization is preferred


  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills is strongly preferred.




For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location, the salary* range for this specific position is $73,920 - $92,400.


Locations: New York
