Location: This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid workforce strategy which includes virtual work and 1-2 days in office per week.
**The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles and a 1-hour commute to one of our Elevance Health major office (PulsePoint) locations. Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection.
The Compliance Consultant is responsible for delivering and executing foundational compliance responsibilities that support the team and management at the advanced level. This role is a member of the License Filing and Applications Center of Expertise.
How You Will Make an Impact
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
At the advanced level, report, communicate, research laws at the advanced level, regulations, requirements, regulatory audits and/or exams.
Provide advanced level support to regulatory audits or exams, internal audits, accreditations, on-site reviews, risk assessments.
At the advanced level, analyze and extract regulatory data, documentation for compliance with requirements.
Participate in compliance monitoring to identify process gaps, validate compliance levels, map processes, draft corrective actions/remediation plans.
Conduct investigations, document findings, update stakeholders and leadership on developments, comply with notification requirements, ensure corrective actions are made.
Assist with the preparation, submission, and tracking of license applications, renewals, and amendments.
Conduct research on licensing requirements and regulations to ensure the organization complies with industry standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all licensing activities and correspondence.
Provide support and assistance to senior compliance consultants on various projects and tasks.
Liaise with regulatory agencies, clients, and internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify requirements.
Input, update, and manage data related to licensing compliance in relevant databases or systems.
Review and analyze licensing-related documents for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare regular reports on the status of licensing activities and compliance issues.
Participate in training sessions to stay current with changes in compliance regulations and licensing requirements.
Participate in assessing the organization's exposure to compliance risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 3 years health care, regulatory, ethics, compliance or privacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.
Excel - intermediate to advanced skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
SharePoint - intermediate to advanced skills (ability to navigate comfortably, post documents, create sites/add web part, work with lists, check in/out documents, assist with clean-up work/record retention).
Analysis/Trending/Reporting.
Strong Written Communications.
Project Management - experience with leading and executing projects.
