Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.
The Director I Compliance is responsible for directing compliance/implementation of privacy initiatives.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Compare privacy compliance performance across subsidiaries and to that of other organizations through benchmarking.
Innovates with an eye towards process improvement and modernization consistent with industry best practices.
Directs and leads compliance programs with multiple layers, objectives, tasks, stakeholders, requirements; engage in and oversee contract compliance management; assess and report on program/process effectiveness; creates policies, procedures and tools needed to operate daily function of program; manage/oversee/influence resources impacting projects or programs from matrixed organizations under different leadership.
Lead privacy engagement across lines of business to support innovation and enable privacy-by-design.
Develops and leads strategic privacy compliance plans, including business associate agreements, and makes recommendations to leadership.
Performs quality oversight of departmental work products/output; plan, document and communicate department work, noting accountable direct reports and deadlines.
Collaborates with management to set strategic privacy vision and values for the organization.
Maintains commitment to high performing, collaborative culture. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 8 years health care, regulatory, ethics, compliance, or privacy experience, including minimum of 3 years management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experience:
Significant experience in enterprise data management and innovation preferred.
Strong leadership/managerial skills and ability to motivate/coach other staff strongly preferred.
Exposure to and oversight of clinical and pharmaceutical operations preferred.
MS/MBA/JD or professional designation preferred.
Experience supporting Commercial, Medicaid and Medicare compliance programs.
Travels to worksite and other locations, as necessary.
