The position of a .NET Web Developer requires an individual who can develop and support web applications and services. In an Agile environment, they will deliver a seamless experience across devices, platforms, operating systems, and browsers. The successful candidate will follow best practices and be able to adapt to established department practices to build web applications and APIs/web services for the University.
We are looking for candidates experienced in developing apps in .NET Framework and/or .NET Core. Additional skills needed include: HTML, CSS, Javascript, GitHub, and Relational Databases (such as MS SQL Server and Oracle).
Developing APIs/Web services and Angular is a plus.
This person is expected to work closely with administrative and academic offices to plan and implement application system capabilities that will enhance services for our students, faculty, and staff. This position will assist with ongoing efforts to document, develop, enhance and maintain administrative and academic applications consistent with established priorities and prevailing software development practices. The successful candidate will analyze business needs; participate in the design of websites, web applications, and mobile device applications; develop and test application code; research and solve application system problems in program code and at the database level. May be responsible for providing consulting support to other areas of the University. This position will collaborate with project managers, and colleagues throughout OU to assure compatibility and consistency across application systems and platforms.
Duties-
Required Education: Bachelor's degree.
Equivalency Substitution: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelors degree.
