Job Description:

The ELQA Program Specialist position merges graphic design and customer service to produce marketing materials for Early Learning Quick Assessments (ELQA) and handle customer inquiries, ensuring consistent branding and effective communication. The Graphic Design Specialist reports to the Early Learning Quick Assessments (ELQA) project director.


Essential Duties:



  • Performs desktop publishing and graphic design of professional marketing materials including logos, brochures, newsletters, flyers, posters, annual reports, and web design.

  • Provides graphic design for communication pieces from concept to completion, to include but not limited to copy-editing, layout, and design.

  • Designs advertisements, print materials, and promotional materials.

  • Formulates design concepts, presentations, and key-art concepts.

  • Design digital assets, to include but not limited to email blasts, web promotions, and social media templates.

  • Presents or pitches ideas, briefs, and concepts to supervisor and requesting departments.

  • Prepares printing estimates for projects and presents to supervisor.

  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Required Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Art, Fine Arts, Marketing, or related field, AND: 



  •   12 months of Graphic Arts or Desktop Publishing experience.


Equivalency/Substitution:  Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree for a total of 60 months related experience.


Skills: 



  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

  • Highly organized and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines

  • Knowledge of creative and digital media trends

  • Knowledge of various tools and equipment used to create media materials


Required Working Conditions: 



  • Ability to engage in repetitive motions. 

  • Light to moderate lifting is required. 

  • Use of computer and other graphic design tools. 

  • Sit for prolonged periods. 

  • Stand, reach, and bend.

  • Ability to uphold the stress of fast-paced environment. 

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours.
