Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper for a temp-to-hire opportunity with one of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, accounting, and financial reporting, along with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting functions, from accounts payable/receivable to the preparation of financial statements. Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
Oversee all aspects of accounts payable and receivable.
Process payroll and related reporting.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Handle journal entries and accruals.
Ensure accurate and timely tax filings and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Work with external auditors for year-end audits and assist with tax preparation.
Provide financial reporting and analysis to management as needed.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Perform other duties as required to support the finance department.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in full charge bookkeeping or similar accounting role.
Strong proficiency with accounting software QuickBooks.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus (not required).
