The Payroll Specialist - Field is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate weekly payroll processing for Field employees, in line with Union agreements and internal procedures. This role includes tracking and verifying hours worked, managing timekeeping entries, and calculating special pay rates. The Payroll Specialist will also support payroll audits and respond to employee inquiries, while assisting with new hire onboarding and employee record updates.
Key Responsibilities:
Uphold professionalism and confidentiality across all payroll activities.
Coordinate with Field Supervisors to collect and verify weekly hours for Union positions.
Enter and accurately code time worked into the payroll system each week.
Calculate special rates, including congestion fees, night shift differentials, and other pay adjustments.
Assist with payroll audits as needed.
Address employee questions regarding hours and pay adjustments.
Process final and correctional checks as necessary.
Maintain and update employee information within accounting software.
Hourly Range: $25.00 - $33.50 USD
