Our Director of Performance Improvement & Project Management
(PI-PM) serves as project lead and is ultimately responsible for the delivery of high-quality deliverables that ensure end user satisfaction, meet business requirements, and balances end user and agency economics. The Director of PI-PM leads a multi-skilled (i.e., online and offline) team of business analysis/project managers who often function in both skill sets. The Director of PI-PM owns project management execution, project scope monitoring, business analysis functions, and problem solving for the team.





  • Ensures that the project management team utilizes a flexible project management approach including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.




  • Ensures business analysis functions of requirement gathering, design, quality review, use of data and documentation efforts follow methodologies and best practices.




  • Provides or facilitates technical guidance on the use of no-code and low-code applications.




  • Leads teams to drive complex project management initiatives.




  • Hires and retains highly capable staff while fostering diversity and career development.




  • Sets performance expectations; holds staff accountable for the achievement of KPI's.




  • Serves as the team's chief problem solver; imparts problem solving strategies and skills within the team.




  • Develops key operational tools to facilitate specific processes.




  • Reviews all projects across accounts to determine resource and skill requirements; drives resource allocation management; ensures the right resources are cast to the need.




  • Accountable for account-level master project plan creation and management.




  • Proactively identifies opportunities to adjust processes for efficiencies.




  • Structures and leads project status reviews; leads cross-team post-mortem sessions.




  • Leads teams to develop and manage risk mitigation plans.




  • Facilitates on-going training for staff to increase their competencies in project management and business analysis functions.





Qualifications:





  • Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.




  • 7-10 years project management experience required with progressive levels of responsibility.




  • Demonstrated progression in level of responsibility within a professional project management environment.




  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred.




  • Exceptional planning, coordination, management, and verbal and written communication skills required.




  • Experience with risk management, change management, communications management.




  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite skills including advanced Excel skills.




  • Expertise in use of project management tools.




  • Demonstrated ability to grow mid-level producer talent; ability to effectively manage performance issues.
