Job Description:

The Teaching, Learning, & Community Engagement Department (TLCE) in the College of Education at Boise State University invites applications for the position of tenure track faculty member, Curriculum and Instruction Generalist. Boise State University is a doctoral research university pioneering an innovative model that emphasizes rigorous research and a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate and graduate students. TLCE is searching for dynamic faculty committed to preparing and supporting educators, while collaborating with colleagues.


Position Overview


The Teaching, Learning, & Community Engagement Department (TLCE) in the College of Education at Boise State University is searching for a tenure-line faculty member who has a variety of expertise and experience in developing current and future educators. Tenure-line faculty in our department are currently responsible for teaching, conducting research and providing service to the community. This is an in-person position based in Boise, Idaho. We are especially interested in faculty with an established, or potential for, a scholarly agenda connected to curriculum and instruction and increasing access and opportunities for diverse populations.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in education or related field
  • Evidence of teaching experience with P12 populations
  • Evidence of efforts to advance access and opportunity for students in P12 or postsecondary education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Evidence of experience with skilled postsecondary instruction in multiple formats (ie., online instruction), in rural settings, and with multilingual learners.
  • Experience teaching coursework on the undergraduate and/or graduate levels
  • Experience with preservice or inservice supervision, mentoring, or coaching
  • Experience with bilingual/multilingual/rural communities and school partnerships
  • Knowledge/experience tied to curriculum development, assessment, and/or instructional design
  • Bilingual Spanish/English

Salary and Benefits
