Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) dedicated to supporting student community at the Center for Health and Wellbeing (CHWB). In this fulfilling role, the PMHNP will provide comprehensive psychiatric services, including initial evaluations, medication assessments, medication management, and short-term psychotherapy. This position serves as a key role in crisis intervention for high-risk students. With a commitment to preventative care, the PMHNP will collaborate and serve as a consultant for a dedicated team of professionals in Counseling and Psychiatry Services (CAPS) to enhance student wellbeing.

Master's degree required. Board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Able to get Vermont Certification (APRN) as a Psychiatric Nurse practitioner within eight weeks of hire. A minimum of at least two years' experience in direct patient care required, to include significant experience working with transitional age youth.
Experience working with patients with eating disorders, substance misuse, and dual diagnosis preferred. Vermont Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse practitioner.
$125,000-$161,500
Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Background Check required for this position
